My Step-Sister's Dormitory places Riley Reid in charge of a residence floor and has her bring her stepbrother to stay for a week as the only man on it. Five episodes move from room to room as the neighbors decide what to make of him, in a playful, ensemble register.
Premise and first two chapters
A week-long visit to his stepsister's residence hall puts one man on a floor reserved for women, and not every resident is willing to share it. Riley Reid supervises the floor and invited him without mentioning that detail. On move-in day she walks him past the doors and sums up her neighbors: Mona in 304, the resident campaigner, and quiet Mila in 311, whom Riley calls dangerous. Riley wants her stepbrother to stay and enjoy himself; he wants to understand what he has walked into; Mona wants him off the floor.
The pilot ends with Riley announcing to the hallway that he is staying all week, then claiming him for herself in her own room under what she calls house rules. In the second episode Mona arrives with an official complaint and demands he leave that night. He offers to leave for a hotel; Mona relents once she sees a use for him, saying she has a project that needs an extra pair of hands. Which of the other rooms opens next, and whether Riley approves of the arrangement, is still to be settled.
