Under My Step-Sister's Hood casts a home mechanic and his new stepsister around her boyfriend Brody's classic Camaro, which has a car show deadline. Over five episodes the repair becomes an excuse for long visits to the garage. Playful, flirty and full of engine talk.
Premise and first two chapters
A classic Camaro that several professional shops failed to repair has to be running before a car show at the weekend, and its owner, Brody, refuses to let anyone near it. His girlfriend brings it anyway to her new stepbrother's garage, because her mother says he fixes anything for family. He has it purring within minutes. She is more interested in his hands than in the engine, and she makes that obvious while Brody calls on speakerphone to warn against amateurs touching his carburetor.
The pilot sets the flirtation in the workshop: compliments on the tools, the question of whether being family changes anything, and a plan to return the next morning. Episode 2 opens with her arriving early and scolding him for being late, then climbing into the back of the car, the spot Brody never lets anyone use. Brody phones again to ask whether the car is ruined, and she tells the stepbrother to report that it is not ready yet. With the car due to leave on Sunday and Brody growing suspicious, the risk of being caught in the garage is what carries into the next episode.
