One-Night Stand Is My Friend's Stepmom traces what happens when Danny discovers that his nameless Cabo fling, Marisa, is married to his best friend Luke's father. Five episodes unfold inside Luke's house with Luke always a floor away, so every exchange is whispered. Tense, secretive, with a nervous romantic streak.
Premise and first two chapters
A no-names agreement in Cabo comes back to haunt a dinner invitation. Danny spent one holiday night with a stranger and has thought of her ever since; three weeks later Luke introduces the woman cooking in his kitchen as Marisa, his stepmother. Her husband is away until the end of the month, Luke is home, and Danny has brought a bottle of wine. Danny wants to behave and keep his friendship; Marisa admits she has been wearing the same perfume every day and wants a repeat, as long as Luke never learns of it.
Episode 1 rebuilds the shock in small moments: a careful handshake, Marisa going to shower, and a hissed conversation in which both swear they had no idea. When Luke shouts about a missing hoodie, she points Danny toward the laundry room. The second episode takes place in that cramped room, with Luke directly overhead. Marisa produces a reminder from the Cabo night, Danny tries to slow things down, and Luke calls down to ask about dinner. She tells Danny that Luke can wait. Whether the two of them go unheard is what episode 3 must resolve.
