Pine Ridge: Hidden Secrets traces Sp00kybby, a defiant online creator exiled by her family to a strict Catholic institution after a leak, and the stepbrother who keeps visiting her there. Five episodes set rebellion against rules; the register is bratty, provocative and full of attitude.
Premise and first two chapters
A leaked folder of private content costs Sp00kybby her boyfriend, her reputation and her say in where she lives next. Her mother and stepfather refuse to pay for anything better and offer one alternative: Pine Ridge, a strict Catholic institution for adults who have, in their words, lost their way online. Her verdict is a jail with chapel bells and goes anyway, because the other choice is paying her own way. Her stepbrother, who apologizes for his father's temper, promises to come and see her. She is furious and sure that discipline will not change her.
Episode 1 runs from the leak and the breakup to the family argument that settles her fate, closing on the stepbrother's promise. In the second episode she checks in, corrects the staff on her name and is shown to her quarters; a jump of four months follows, during which he never misses a visiting day. Her roommate asks bluntly what the two of them do on those visits, and she brushes it off as family. How long that answer holds up inside Pine Ridge is the question for episode 3.
