Premise and first two chapters
Ten straight years of losing to his wife's sister on the golf course leave a husband with little pride left, and this year Diana changes the rules. Diana's husband Brad and the husband's wife Tessa, who suspects he loses on purpose, make up the foursome. Diana has been studying his swing for a decade and offers to fix his grip, standing close while the others drive off in the carts. She proposes a wager in which the victor names the forfeit, and she already knows what she will ask. He wants to win once; she wants to collect regardless.
Episode 1 covers the opening holes, a cart swap that splits the couples, and Diana's hands-on lesson out of sight of the group, ending with the bet. In the second episode the others return to the clubhouse while the two finish the match. A coming storm sends them to the cart barn instead, the game ends level, and Diana claims her prize anyway, saying she has waited far too long. What the spouses are doing at the clubhouse in the meantime is the thread episode 3 picks up.
