My Fiancée's Best Friend follows Nick through the week before his wedding, as Selena's maid of honor arrives to help and makes him her personal project. It runs five episodes. The register is teasing and verbal, a rivalry that keeps sliding toward something warmer.
Premise and first two chapters
Wedding week brings the maid of honor through the door, dress bags and all, and the groom is the one person she has never approved of. Nick is marrying Selena; her best friend has watched Selena choose him for years and has drafted a toast that gives Selena three loving lines and Nick a single cold one. Selena asks him to be nice, then rushes off to the florist. The best friend has a different plan for the week: she promises to win him over before the ceremony.
Episode 1 lays out the feud in the apartment, from a spilled glass of water to the toast read aloud. The friend notes that Nick asks about her on every phone call, which hardly fits someone she supposedly hates, and he insists he simply thinks Selena deserves better. She sets him a test: Selena will be at the venue all day tomorrow, and at noon someone has to zip her into or out of a dress. He is told not to be late. Whether he goes, and what proving himself worthy will actually require, is what the second episode has to settle.
