Always Open: My Girlfriend's Stepsister Caught Me Looking hinges on a door Sadie never shuts and on Leo, who cannot stop glancing through it. His girlfriend trusts him completely and spends her evenings out. Five episodes; brief, quiet and guilty in tone.
Premise and first two chapters
A bedroom door on the upstairs landing is open every time Leo walks past, and he looks every single time. He has moved into his girlfriend's house, where her stepsister Sadie lives too. Sadie has noticed the habit and keeps a tally. The girlfriend suspects nothing; she has a routine of gym sessions followed by evenings out with friends, which leaves the other two alone for long stretches. Leo wants to keep his relationship intact. Sadie wants him to stop pretending he is not interested.
The opening episode starts with Leo's confession in voice-over and moves to the moment Sadie finally catches him in the doorway. She asks whether his girlfriend knows how much he likes to look. A call from downstairs interrupts: the girlfriend is leaving for the gym and a night with friends and says she loves him, and Sadie makes him answer while she stands right beside him. Once the front door closes, Sadie makes her offer. From the second episode on, the open door works as a standing invitation, and whether Leo keeps walking through it while his girlfriend still trusts him is left unresolved.
