Premise and first two chapters
A private notebook holds a sentence its owner never meant anyone to read: she wants her sister's boyfriend. She works behind the counter of a coffee shop, and he drops in at the very moment she has written it. Her sister trusts her with him completely. He, meanwhile, says things at home have been strained and that the couple has talked about opening their relationship. She values the friendship the two of them have built and is afraid of wrecking two relationships at once; he is tired of hiding what he feels.
The first episode plays out at the counter: he wants to read the notebook, she refuses, and their talk about why writing feels so personal turns into his admission that someone is constantly on his mind. Then his phone lights up with her sister's name. In the second episode he says it plainly, that he is crazy about her, and she accuses him of losing his mind before suggesting they move to the car to talk. There the arguing gives way to a kiss she keeps calling wrong. Whether she ever asks him to stop is left open.
