My Stepmom Mia Malkova Needs a Date casts Mia Malkova as a stepmother whose dinner plans fall through and the stepson who admired her long before she married his father. Five episodes stay in one empty house; the tone is direct, teasing and focused on a single night.
Premise and first two chapters
A dinner reservation falls through on a Friday night, leaving Mia Malkova dressed up with nowhere to go and her husband stuck at work until morning. At home is her stepson, who kept her posters on his wall for years and now shares a house with her. He tells a friend on the phone how attractive she is, forgetting how thin the walls are. Mia heard every word. He wants to take it back and stay respectful. She wants to know whether he meant it, and does not see why the dress should go to waste.
Episode 1 runs from her surprise appearance in the red dress to the overheard call, closing as she invites him into her room. By the second instalment he is stammering apologies in her doorway; she wants to know whether the compliment was true, he confirms it, and she asks for help with a clasp. He worries about his father walking in, and she tells him the husband gets no vote tonight. Whether the night stays a secret between them is what episode 3 must settle.
