Private Lessons casts Mia Malkova as the instructor of a yoga class, where she notices a tense newcomer in the group and books him for one-on-one sessions ahead of his wedding. Five episodes chart how far her hands-on method goes, in a warm, teasing register built on double meanings.
Premise and first two chapters
A wedding three weeks away has a nervous groom looking for a way to loosen up, and a group yoga class seems like a safe place to start. The instructor, Mia, notices how stiff he is from across the room and suggests private sessions, just the two of them. He tells her he wants flexibility and stamina for the big day; she takes the request more broadly than he intended. Mia is relaxed, observant and fond of men who commit to things, and the studio has a hallway of massage rooms that she treats as her own territory.
Episode 1 runs through the group class, the booking conversation and a moment when the client walks in on Mia at the wrong time. In the second episode she catches him at the door, reminds him how much tension he is carrying into the honeymoon and sends him for a massage. A masseuse starts the session, then Mia takes over without a word and asks whether she should continue. His answer is left for episode 3.
