Premise and first two chapters
A fourth-quarter handoff, called with the team down by four, becomes the moment one rookie decides to run his own play instead. It works, the team wins, and Coach Diana is furious anyway, because on her field the play call is not a suggestion. Her husband owns the franchise and, as the rookie sees it, acts as though he owns her too. The rookie wants credit for the win and has always struggled with orders; Diana wants obedience, and she has the authority to make his week miserable until she gets it.
Episode 1 runs from the huddle to the winning score to a scuffle on the sideline, ending with the rookie sent up the stadium stairs and told to report to her office. The second episode delivers the punishment: while the squad heads to the victory party, he is left cleaning every uniform alone. Diana goes to shower before the party, he swears not to look, and then she calls him by his nickname and invites him to join her. With the owner's wife waiting in the showers, the choice he makes is held over for episode 3.
