Premise and first two chapters
Three years after the end times, a man who believes he may be the last of his kind finds the opposite of solitude. Searching the ruins for other men, he stumbles into Eden, a walled settlement of roughly five hundred women, none of whom has met a man in years. Guards take him to their queen, played by Rachel Greer, who calls him more precious than anything inside the walls and assures him nobody will touch him without consent. He wants rest and answers; the queen wants to keep humanity going, and she has a plan.
The first episode follows the discovery: the stunned guards, the march to the throne, the queen's welcome and a room with a simple instruction to lock the door if he wants to sleep alone. He leaves it unlocked. In episode 2 the queen arrives that night, asks whether the guards knowing would excite him, and calls herself generous with Eden's riches. Then she sets out her real purpose: humanity's survival, she says, depends on each resident of Eden getting her chance with him. His reaction to that number is where episode 3 begins.
