Premise and first two chapters
A surprise arrival at the door upends a man's settled life with his girlfriend: Daisy, his stepsister, has been told by their father that she can spend the summer in their apartment, and she shows up with no intention of being a quiet guest. Between them sits a secret from one night at a family wedding, which he wants to keep in the past. Daisy wants it back, and she is not discreet about it. The girlfriend, who soon finds the visitor in a towel, wants her gone.
The pilot is a sequence of small provocations: the greeting, the shower announcement, the towel, and a whispered remark that makes the stepbrother's discomfort obvious, then his girlfriend demands he deal with it. In episode 2 he goes to Daisy to lay down rules, reminding her the wedding was a one-time thing and that his girlfriend sits in the next room. She treats that closeness as the attraction, asks for one more night, and then suggests the girlfriend might join. How the girlfriend reacts once she hears that idea is left for episode 3.
