Premise and first two chapters
A boat that will not be back for two hours leaves Emilia alone at a family property with the man who became her step-cousin when their parents married, and a long-ignored attraction wins out. Tyler, her partner, keeps calling. Then Chloe, her sister, surfaces with a photo of the two of them. Chloe says she will not tell anyone yet. She names a visit to her room that night as the price of silence and makes clear whom she has wanted since the wedding. Emilia wants to protect everything she has built. Chloe wants control.
Episode 1 compresses the afternoon, the call that goes unanswered and Chloe's discovery into a few tight scenes ending on her ultimatum. The second episode keeps the late-night appointment: Chloe is waiting, confident the threat has worked, and repeats that one word from her sends everything to Tyler. The answer she gets is defiance; the pair walk out and dare her to send it, then reel at what they have done. Whether Chloe followed through and Tyler has already seen the photo is the question that carries into episode 3.
