Molly's Manipulations traces Nick's stay at his brother Ryan's house, where Ryan's fiancée Molly, an online yoga teacher he keeps away from other people, tests how far her guest will follow her lead. Five episodes of workout sessions and kitchen flirting, with a quietly scheming, mischievous register.
Premise and first two chapters
A visit to his brother's home brings Nick face to face with a woman Ryan has kept mostly out of sight. Molly is Ryan's fiancée, and she teaches yoga online because Ryan will not let her work at a studio; he does not want her hands on strangers. When Nick arrives, Ryan has not come home yet, so Molly fills the afternoon with a session on the mat and suggests he lose his shirt before he sweats through it. Nick, who turns thirty next week, plays along more willingly than he should.
The pilot ends with Ryan walking in on a pose adjustment. In episode 2 he warns Molly to behave, and she answers that he hides her away as if she were some kind of monster. She then compares the brothers, teases Nick about his workout habits and serves him a chocolate protein mousse that, by her account, needs more mixing. A wardrobe slip closes the episode with both of them pretending not to notice. How far Molly intends to take her game is still to be revealed.
