Premise and first two chapters
A habit of looking through an open bedroom door catches up with Jake when his girlfriend's stepsister finally turns around. His girlfriend is in the house, calling for him, and later has a work dinner that will keep her out past midnight. The pilot sets up the stare, the confrontation and Kenzie pulling him into her room while the girlfriend searches for him and then leaves, with Kenzie promising she is not finished. In the second episode the girlfriend heads out for an end-of-year work dinner and Jake returns to Kenzie's room. Moments later the girlfriend comes back for her keys, thinks they are in his jacket, and asks her stepsister where he is. Kenzie tells him not to stop.
