Premise and first two chapters
An evening plumbing course has lost every attendee but one, and that one admits he signed up only because of who runs it. David is dating Ashley, who begged her sister to save him a place; Ashley herself is throwing pots a few rooms away and will drive him home at ten. The sister sets a practical test, a fitting she loosened herself, which took the previous man forty minutes. She still remembers a Thanksgiving moment when David took her bag out to the car and would not let go of it.
The first episode plays as an exam with a teasing examiner, interrupted once by Ashley checking on him. Once he passes, she tells him to lock the door with about forty-five minutes left. The second episode begins behind that locked door. She says it has been six months since anyone touched her and asks him not to be gentle, while he keeps raising the fact that Ashley is her sister. A call from Ashley about a misbehaving kiln buys them a quarter of an hour. Whether that delay shields them or exposes them stays open.
