My Roommates Made a Bet sets up Jake, a broke tenant whose bargain room comes with a catch: he learns that his flatmates Sienna and Mia have bet fifty dollars over who gets him first. Knowing about the wager, he decides to play along. Five episodes, playful and competitive in tone.
Premise and first two chapters
A rent bargain hides a wager: the cheapest room in the city comes with two flatmates who have already put money on the new tenant. Jake answers the ad because he is broke and reads the fine print too late. Sienna and Mia greet him warmly, too warmly, and promise they are very relaxed about house rules. The stakes are concrete, since the loser covers his rent. What neither woman knows is that Jake heard the entire bet through the wall, and he wants to turn their game back on them without either one noticing.
Episode 1 covers the move-in, an awkward bathroom encounter, Sienna's private boast and Jake's discovery that he is the prize. In the following episode the competition becomes open. Mia drops by in the morning to remind him she sleeps next door, Sienna asks for help with a high shelf, and each one dismisses the other's chances. By evening Sienna announces she intends to finish the contest that night, and Mia insists she never loses. Which of them reaches him first, and whether Jake's counter-game holds, is what the third episode must resolve.
