She Was Sent to Kill Me drops Eli, a doctor forced into a lethal game, into the path of Delilah Kane, the hunter whose job is to end him. When he treats her wound and she lets him run, the rules turn on them both. Five episodes of tense, fast-moving survival drama.
Premise and first two chapters
A game with a single exit makes mercy a capital offense: any player reaching the gate goes free, while a hunter caught helping one shares that player's death. Eli is one of the players, wounded, slow and widely expected to fall first. He is also a doctor. Delilah Kane is the hunter who catches him, armed and bleeding from a wound of her own. She wants to survive the game's orders; he wants to reach the gate without abandoning anyone who needs care.
Episode 1 begins with Delilah forcing Eli to kneel, then accepting his offer to dress her arm in exchange for a five-second head start. She counts him off, and the announcer orders her to kill him. The second episode picks up at the gate. Eli has made it, yet he turns back when he sees someone aiming at her. Furious, she asks why he returned; he says he would not leave her there. The game gives her five seconds to shoot him or die with him, and what she does on the final count is left for episode 3.
