The Nun in Our Guest Room hinges on a houseguest with a deadline: Sister Dark Angel stays with Veronica's family during the last days before her vows, and her hostess's son becomes the focus of her final private wishes. Premise and first two chapters
A week-long stay before Sunday's vows brings a nun into Veronica's house, and the son who carries her bag upstairs soon realizes the guest has plans of her own for those seven days. Sister Dark Angel arrives polite and composed, and Veronica gives her the spare room, first door on the left. Her son is supposed to be helpful and nothing more. The Sister, though, measures every remark, compliments his manners and treats grace at the table like a confession made in advance.
The pilot covers her arrival, a supper she praises a little too warmly, and an evening prayer in which she asks for kind hands and forgiveness for what is about to happen. By the second episode she knows he saw something the night before, and she says so. Veronica, oblivious, tells her to ask her son for anything she needs. Then the Sister explains what Sunday means to her: after the vows, everything she has never tried becomes off limits for good. How she intends to spend the days that remain is the question waiting in episode 3.
