Cleopatra and Caesar stages the war between Rome and Egypt as a private duel, with Cleopatra testing Julius Caesar's resolve inside his own camp. Five episodes add a pregnancy, a vengeful wife and Mark Antony to the conflict. The register is theatrical and bold, a costume drama of power and temptation.
Premise and first two chapters
A war in which Rome keeps losing ground gives an enemy queen a reason to walk into the general's tent. Cleopatra's armies advance on the river while Julius Caesar insists to himself that he must hold firm for Rome. He reminds her he is married. Cleopatra treats the war table as a stage and her body as a weapon, offering herself as a prize while her troops overrun the eastern camp. Caesar wants victory and his honor intact; Cleopatra wants him conquered. His wife and Mark Antony wait in the wings.
The pilot opens on Caesar's war council, then Cleopatra's arrival and her attempt to seduce him while his officers bring news of fresh losses. He orders her out. In the second episode he confronts her about the night attack on his men, she answers that his eyes betray him, and the scene turns intimate before he pulls back and swears he will not be fooled again. As he moves to leave, she reveals that his heir is on the way, a discovery made that same morning. What that news does to his loyalty to Rome is left unresolved.
Episode by episode
Episode 1 free
Plays straight away, even before you make an account. It sets up the people and the problem.
Episode 2 free with account
Costs nothing once a free Candy account exists. It moves the story to the point where the paid part begins.
Episode 3 12 tokens
One of the paid chapters. Tokens or Premium open it, and it plays on the phone like the rest.
Episode 4 12 tokens
Continues from the previous chapter; it unlocks with tokens or the monthly Premium allowance.
Episode 5 12 tokens
The final chapter, where the question the series opened with gets its answer. It costs 12 tokens.
Seeing Cleopatra and Caesar in full
The free part covers two of the five chapters. Unlocking the other three takes 36 tokens in all, and that figure is the whole bill for seeing Cleopatra and Caesar through to its last scene.
Premium comes with 100 tokens a month. At 12 tokens per chapter that is eight episodes, enough to finish this one with tokens left over.
A "full free" copy does not exist in any legitimate form: the episodes live on Candy, and uploads elsewhere are either fakes or someone else's rip.
