NightWire traces a memory courier, Olivia Carter, through a city where recollections are bought and sold. One forbidden dive into a cargo chip puts her inside an intimate night with a man called Kael, who should not know who she is. Five episodes, moody and mysterious, in a neon-noir register.

Premise and first two chapters

A memory chip she was paid only to carry becomes the one Olivia Carter cannot leave alone. Her rule is simple: never open the cargo. Sable, a fellow operator, mocks her caution and dares her to try a single dive. When she does, she lands inside someone else's night with Kael, a man who looks at her as if he knows her and says her real name. Olivia wants to understand why she is in his memory at all.

The first episode sets out the trade and the rule, then breaks it, ending on the shock of hearing her name spoken inside a stranger's past. In episode 2 a contact urges her to hand back what she pulled from the chip and not to dive it again. She goes back anyway, and the memory deepens into a closer, quieter scene with Kael, interrupted by talk of a megacorporation, a person wiped from every system a year earlier, and a file someone found. Who Kael really is, and how Olivia fits into the record of his vanishing, is left for episode 3.

Episode by episode

Episode 1 free

Plays straight away, even before you make an account. It sets up the people and the problem.

Episode 2 free with account

Costs nothing once a free Candy account exists. It moves the story to the point where the paid part begins.

Episode 3 12 tokens

Continues from the previous chapter; it unlocks with tokens or the monthly Premium allowance.

Episode 4 12 tokens

Continues from the previous chapter; it unlocks with tokens or the monthly Premium allowance.

Episode 5 12 tokens

The final chapter, where the question the series opened with gets its answer. It costs 12 tokens.

Seeing NightWire in full

The free part covers two of the five chapters. Unlocking the other three takes 36 tokens in all, and that figure is the whole bill for seeing NightWire through to its last scene.

Premium comes with 100 tokens a month. At 12 tokens per chapter that is eight episodes, enough to finish this one with tokens left over.

A "full free" copy does not exist in any legitimate form: the episodes live on Candy, and uploads elsewhere are either fakes or someone else's rip.

NightWire: quick answers

Is NightWire free?

The start is. The opener needs no sign-up and the second chapter only a free account; past that point every chapter unlocks for 12 tokens, so 36 covers the rest.

How many chapters make up NightWire?

Five in total, each a vertical clip that runs about a minute or two.

Where can I watch NightWire?

On Candy, inside the Candy Shorts section. The buttons on this page open the series there.

Does NightWire show nudity?

The two free chapters let you judge for yourself before paying. How far each series goes varies; Candy keeps its most explicit titles in the separate Spicy section, and this is not one of them.

Can I watch NightWire full for free?

Not legally. The free part stops after episode 2; anything claiming the complete run for free elsewhere is not from Candy.
