One Bed With My Roommate is built on a rent crisis: Ren, suddenly out of work, rents the spare space to Mira, freshly dumped and best friend of his crush Yama, and the two women agree to compete for him. Across five episodes shy longing meets a reckless dare, in a playful, teasing register.
Premise and first two chapters
A lost paycheck puts the apartment at risk on the very morning a third tenant shows up with her bags. Ren and Yama already share the place, trading coffee and half-finished confessions over breakfast; he has been staring at her for months and never says why. Mira, Yama's best friend, arrives after her boyfriend Dorian throws her out, and she has nowhere else to sleep. Splitting the rent three ways would save the lease, so Ren agrees she stays, even though the timing could hardly be worse. Mira claims the big closet and the good shower within minutes and reads the room faster than either of her hosts.
Episode 1 lingers on the breakfast routine, a question Ren almost asks, and the knock that interrupts it. The second episode settles the money, then turns when Mira notices that Yama blushes around him. She proposes a wager: each woman goes after Ren, the one he chooses wins, and he must never learn it was a game. Yama protests that the idea is insane, then agrees. Which of them makes the first real move on Ren stays open.
