Premise and first two chapters
Tango lessons were supposed to rescue a marriage, but the wife who booked them keeps cancelling, and her husband ends up dancing alone with the instructor. His wife is stuck at work the first night and tells him to go anyway. The instructor, unbothered, partners him herself and explains that tango lives in the hips. He has two left feet and a wife who seems relieved to be elsewhere. The instructor sees an empty slot and a partner worth keeping.
The pilot counts out the basic steps and the turn, then skips to the second week, when another cancellation leaves the studio to the two of them. She tells him how to hold her and offers a private routine. By the second episode the routine includes a leg wrap held higher than any beginner needs. His wife finally shows up, watches, and remarks that he has never moved like that; the instructor says he has, with her. The wife accepts it as choreography and leaves for a work dinner, telling him to stay and practice. How far the private lessons go is the question episode 3 has to answer.
