The Maid My Wife Hired drops a husband and a newly hired housekeeper, Yuna Moon, into an empty house for eleven hours a day while the wife works. Five episodes play out between dusting, spilled coffee and evening check-in calls, with very little said outright. Teasing and quiet, mostly glances and pauses.
Premise and first two chapters
A housekeeping arrangement leaves a married man with a long stretch of unsupervised hours. His wife has hired Yuna Moon to clean and keep the household running, asks him to be kind to her, and promises to be back at eight in the evening. He stays home through the day, and the maid treats her instructions very literally: the wife asked her to look after the whole house. He wants the day to pass without incident; she seems to have decided that he counts as part of the house.
Episode 1 covers the first morning: the wife's goodbye, a broken coffee cup that Yuna promises to replace with a better one, a polite question about whether she is doing well, and a call from the wife to which he answers that all is fine. The second episode raises the stakes through small accidents, a near collision, a coffee stain and a lot of dust, until Yuna surveys the spotless rooms and suggests he is the one thing left to clean. How he answers that remark, with his wife's return still hours off, is the question episode 3 inherits.
